Trading Holiday!
I've book two weeks off work starting week after next. Yipeeeee! Actually my intension is to experiment with living the trading life. I plan to get up on time, trade the Asian open, have the afternoons off, and trade the London and US sessions for two full weeks. Included in this will be a long period of intense study. Total focus.
This is somewhat premature but I want to see what it will be like to live that life. Despite the fact that this is my ultimate goal - what would it be like in reality? I fully expect that there will be a plethora of new problems to replace the old ones. Current problems are: Being a wage slave. Topped out on possible financial growth (and thus freedom, limited options etc). Having to answer to someone else (i.e. "please sir, can I have the afternoon off because I have a skull splitting migrane?" -*frowns, rubs chin in thought* "Hmmm I suppose so -- fill out this leave request form and sign here.") Commuting 2 hours a day Working in a toxic synthetic environment with a bunch of the universes most tragically depressed dweebs. Probable Trading-Life problems: Total Isolation Need to supply own discipline (i.e. not sitting around unshaven in my boxer shorts at 2 in the afternoon) Lack of security (fate in own hands) There are probably more - anyhow my holiday will show me some things about the goal and myself. I will also get to spend some time with my cat who likes to sit on my desk and watch candles forming... |
