Shock & Horror

I just found out today that a trader I know and respect(ed) is getting done by the CFTC for nothing short of being a full on Rogue Trader, losing over 1.5 million in client funds whilst reporting he was making great gains MoM...

I'm not sure quite how to digest this chunk of real life drama - part of me thinks its some kind of conspiracy cooked up by the brokers because he was too kick-ass, but the truth is most likely that he just lost it like poor old Nick Leeson. I'm not naming him on my blog outright as its not my place to do so.

Tragic... Although something kind of doesn't add up. The last time I heard from him he was in high spirits, and that was about a week before this went public. Is it possible for a human being to seem totally relaxed and chirpy whilst hiding a burden like that? But I imagine in that situation your psychology can do anything, you would be almost tripping out. You could start to experience states like euphoria and other weird conditions that make no logical sense, such as when people are in a warzone, so who knows... You know, its so bad that you just burst out laughing - things like that.
