Journal Example

Posted on 05/23/2007 08:00:15 | Link | Post Comment

My volume of posting here has dropped slightly but I think that is due to more focus being placed by me on accurate and regular journal keeping and actual trading (which I guess should be the case). I save my log as a PDF for each month, and so far Mays journal is 25 pages of charts, notes, ideas, and analysis. I may even color print them at the end of each month so that I can pull them out and look back on them in the future (and probably laugh at myself). For your perusal I've provided a couple of example pages from my log, just showing how and what kinds of things I'm logging. I've also been keeping my books accurate and tracking my performance. Basically an increase in trading discipline that fell apart in April. You'll read it everywhere that journal keeping is vital for success in this endeavour, so I'm glad that this month I got back on the horse.
