Brokers Used So Far
In my trading life so far I've used four major brokers and here's what I thought of them:
Forex.com They were quite good but I thought their platform was kind of odd - I could never figure out how to have both a stop and a take-profit set at the same time, it seemed to only let me do one or the other. They had fast execution though and were pretty much ok. BUT... since they got "fined $100,000 for violation of rule C.R.2-36(b)(1) which is defined as "Cheat, defraud, deceive forex customers" and two other counts" [quote forexproject.com], as far as I'm concerned they can sod off for ever. I don't care about the details, I won't even look at them again. AMIFX I can't remember why I first of all switched to these guys, it may have been because they had low spreads. Anyhow they were pretty good, the service was very one on one, platform was fine. I think I only switched from them to FXCM because FXCM seemed like the same thing only bigger, better and faster. FXCM I think these guys are great, I had no problems what so ever. I only switched from them because I realized I need to go to microlots in order to have enough granularity to do proper money management. I love their platform. I would use them again. OANDA These guys are sort of good in some ways, and utterly infuriatingly rubbish in other ways as mentioned in previous posts. I don't like the way they are living on their own planet and their prices do things that you dont see anywhere else. They are not normal. Their help desk is also about as useful as a catflap in an elephant house... I will not use them again. |
